This Privacy Policy explains how Netstar Systems Inc. (doing business as Inttelio, “Inttelio,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, and protects personal information when you visit https://inttel.io or contact us. Inttelio is a cybersecurity consulting firm based in Chicagoland, Illinois, United States, and is the data controller for the information described here.
Information we collect
We only collect what we need to respond to you and to keep the site secure.
- Contact form. When you submit our contact form we collect the details you provide: your name, work email address, company, the area you are interested in, and your message.
- Anti-spam and security data. To protect the form from abuse we use Cloudflare Turnstile, which processes a verification token and limited technical signals (including your IP address) to distinguish humans from bots. Our hosting and API providers also keep standard server logs (IP address, user agent, timestamps) for security and troubleshooting.
- Analytics (only with your consent). If you accept analytics cookies, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used. This sets cookies and processes usage data such as pages viewed, approximate (city-level) location derived from your IP address, device and browser type, and a randomly generated identifier. We do not run analytics unless you opt in, and analytics are off by default.
We do not knowingly collect special-category or “sensitive” personal information through this website, and the site is not directed to children.
How we use your information
- To respond to your inquiry and discuss our services with you.
- To protect the website and our systems against spam, fraud, and abuse.
- To measure and improve the website, where you have consented to analytics.
- To comply with our legal obligations.
We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Legal bases (EU/UK GDPR)
Where the EU or UK GDPR applies, we rely on the following legal bases:
- Contract / pre-contract steps (Art. 6(1)(b)) and our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)) in responding to your inquiry, to handle contact-form submissions.
- Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)) in keeping our website and systems secure, for anti-spam and logging.
- Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) for analytics cookies. You can withdraw consent at any time.
Service providers
We share personal information only with providers that help us operate the site, under contract and only as needed:
- Amazon Web Services (AWS) - hosting and contact-form processing (API Gateway and Lambda), in the United States.
- Cloudflare - Turnstile bot protection for the contact form.
- Google - Google Analytics 4, only if you consent.
- Our email provider - to receive and reply to your message.
International transfers
We are based in the United States and process data there. If you are in the EU, EEA, or UK, transfers to our providers are covered by appropriate safeguards, including the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (and the UK extension) where the provider is certified, and/or Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep it
We keep contact-form inquiries for as long as needed to respond and for reasonable business follow-up (generally up to 24 months), after which we delete or anonymize them. Security logs are kept for a short period. Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics settings (up to 14 months).
Cookies and analytics choices
This site uses no non-essential cookies unless you allow them. When you first visit, a banner lets you accept or decline analytics cookies. We do not load Google Analytics until you accept. You can change your choice at any time using the link (also in the footer). Cloudflare Turnstile may set a cookie strictly to detect bots when you interact with the contact form; this is necessary for the form to work.
Your rights
EU/UK residents. You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to our processing of your personal information, to data portability, and to withdraw consent where we rely on it. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
California residents (CCPA/CPRA). You have the right to know what we collect, to access and delete it, to correct it, and to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information. We do not sell or share your personal information as those terms are defined, and we do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes that require an opt-out. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
To exercise any of these rights, reach us through our contact page. We may need to verify your request before acting on it.
